Kurt is a very talented and productive musician, writer and arti st. His awards and citations include:
--the Colorado Scholars Music Talent Award each year from 1987-1 991 as a member of the Metropolitan State College of Denver Symp hony Orchestra.
--a 1996 Greg Pearson Memorial Scholarship Award as a journalis m student.
--two Citations For Outstanding Musicianship at the 1996 and 199 7 University of Northern Colorado-Greeley Jazz Festivals.
--played percussion for more than 20 Denver Drama Critics Circl e Award-winning musical theater productions, 50 productions over all.
--a member of two active music ensembles in the Denver-Boulder a rea: the Soniq Museum Orchestra and the Blue Spruce Duo.
--a published writer of fiction, nonfiction and poetry.
