There, he became dentist to the Pope and lived in a room in the Vatican wall. After the war he resumed his dental practice and also briefly acted in Italian movies.  [1]

  Karl, my uncle, was a knight of the Vatican. With his daughter Margarethe (Kindy),I visited his tombstone in the German Cemetery beside St. Peter's basilica in the Vatican. A photograph verifies this information.
