Stroke
A largely self-trained chemist, Eugene became an expert in sulfu ric acid manufacturing for duPont. In addition Eugene was an avi d ethnologist, archeologist, historian, geographer and environme ntal activist (particularly with the oil and gas fields of centr al Michigan.) He was selected as a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotar y International (over forty years of service) and awarded the Si lver Beaver in Boy Scouts of America for many decades of service .
