  [DavOchsner01.FTW] For many years, John was one of the principal planners with th e National Park Service. While assigned to planning offices in R ichmond, VA, San Francisco and Denver he traveled extensively t o parks as diverse as Mt. McKinley, Alaska and in downtown Manha ttan, NY; from the wilderness of Grand Canyon to the national ra ilroad museum in Pennsylvania. John also made two trips to the T aj Mahal as a member of a National Park Service planning team as sisting the Indian government in preparing a management plan fo r the Taj Mahal and associated sites. Since retirement from th e NPS, John has been pursuing his considerable natural talents a s a fine art painter and sculptor.
