Jacob and Mary worked for Pauli i n a small hotel he owned in Plattsburg, New York. They moved bac k to Syracuse sometime in the 1920's where apparently their so n Paul learned something about anatomy at a local meat market wh ere he worked. Jacob may have been a representative for a cand y company during this time.

He was then offered a position with Genera l Motors as its Medical Director upon coming to Lansing with hi s wife Eleanor.
