Jack transfered to Fleischmann's in Buffalo. Martha and Jack purchased this new house at 88 La Salle Avenue, Kenmore, New York. At the time this photo was taken, Martha was pregnant with their first child, Joan Claire. Jack left Fleischmann's to become manager of the National Buiscuit plant in Buffalo. When Joan was approximately six months old, they moved to Rochester, New York where Jack had been hired by his friend Mr. Wegeman to plan and manage the installation and startup of the first Wegman's bakery. Knowing they would return, they rented the Kenmore house, going back to it several years later when Jack resumed his job as manager of the National Biscuit bakery. |
